The installation of the Digital Electronic Sirens with Public Address Early Warning System in our flood-prone town is a crucial project costing 5.7 Million Pesos. This system includes three Electric Siren Stations and a Control Station at the Operations Center. It serves as a comprehensive public address system for warning the community about various disasters, such as storms, floods, fires, and earthquakes. The system, strategically located at the Municipal Hall of Enrile, operates 24/7 and is connected to a visual warning system at the Operations Center.
These state-of-the-art sirens, equipped with alarm sensors and advanced communication units, can be controlled through a pioneering Cellphone Application. This app, designed for the mayor, allows remote control even without internet, using load credits. Additionally, manual control is possible through the CMC-4 Control Station in the Mayor’s Office.
Placed in flood-prone barangays, the sirens are strategically positioned in Magalalag West, Barangay 4, and Barangay 2 based on sound planning. Imported from Greece, these high-powered solar-powered sirens cover vast areas with audio ranges up to 1.7 kilometers and alarm signals reaching 3.5 kilometers. The system emits different siren sounds for earthquake, flooding, fire, and an “All Clear” signal. It also facilitates evacuation and text message transmission, enhancing early warning capabilities.
